Can I unlock a PDF if I forgot the password?
If the PDF requires a password to open, you need that password. This tool does not guess, recover, or crack forgotten passwords. Ask the document owner for access or look for an unprotected original.
Can I remove PDF printing and copying restrictions?
For a PDF you own or have permission to change, this tool can remove supported password-based printing and copying restrictions. If the document opens without a password, your unlocked copy and preview are prepared automatically without asking for one. Files protected by an account, organization policy, or certificate are not supported.
Will unlocking a PDF change text, quality, links, or forms?
The tool keeps the existing pages, text, links, and fillable fields instead of turning pages into pictures. Check your saved copy in your usual PDF reader before relying on it. Changing a digitally signed PDF can invalidate its signature; keep the original signed file.
