Turn a PDF table into a CSV you can review
Use a PDF with selectable text to move simple invoices, reports or lists into a spreadsheet. The preview groups text by position and suggests columns. Adjust the table area to leave out a title or footer, and enter column dividers if a value lands in the wrong place. This is a starting point for checking data, not a guarantee of correct table recognition.
Choose comma, semicolon or tab separators. One selected page downloads as CSV; several pages download as a ZIP with one CSV per page. Repeated headers stay in place and pages are not joined automatically. Use the Excel option for one workbook with separate page sheets.
Values are kept as text rather than guessed as dates or numbers. CSV files use UTF-8 with a byte-order mark and quote cells containing punctuation. Formula-like values receive a leading apostrophe. Import identifiers and dates as Text in your spreadsheet app, then verify decimal signs, negative amounts, totals and leading zeros.
For a scan, use OCR PDF first and return with the searchable result. OCR errors can change digits and column positions. Merged cells, nested tables, wrapped rows and unrelated columns need manual checking; complex layouts are better exported from the original spreadsheet when available.

Why did a number move into the wrong column?
PDF text has positions, which do not always describe table cells. Enter column dividers as percentages from the visible page’s left edge and update the preview. Exclude titles and footers with the table area controls.
Are merged cells and tables across pages preserved?
No. Merged cells and wrapped rows are not reconstructed. Each page stays separate, including repeated headers, so you can check it before combining the data yourself.
Will leading zeros, dates and negative amounts stay unchanged?
The extractor keeps text unchanged. Excel output stores text cells. CSV readers may infer types, so import identifier and date columns as Text. Ordinary negative decimal amounts are preserved; other formula-like values receive a leading apostrophe for safer opening.
Can I export Excel instead of CSV?
Yes. Choose Excel in File format for an XLSX with one sheet per selected page. Both formats use the reviewed table preview and keep page boundaries.
