This changes paper dimensions, not file size. For a smaller upload, use Compress PDF. Use a static, unsigned PDF: forms, links, annotations and optional layers are not supported. Bookmarks, attachments and document properties are not copied.
Change paper dimensions while keeping the page proportions
Use this tool when a document must have A4, Letter, A3 or a specific width and height. Fit places the complete visible page inside the chosen paper and margins. Fill enlarges it until that area is covered, so some edges may be cropped. Both keep the original proportions and centre the content.
Select all pages or enter page numbers. Every page remains in its original order; pages outside the selection keep their visible dimensions. A rotated or previously cropped page is placed according to its visible orientation. The result keeps supported text and vector drawings rather than turning every page into an image.
Use a static, unsigned PDF. Form fields, annotations, clickable links, optional layers and unusual page units are not supported. Flatten PDF can make a static image copy when appropriate, but that removes selectable text. Bookmarks, attachments and document properties are not copied. Keep your original and inspect the new PDF before sharing.
Paper size and file size are different. For an upload limit in KB or MB, use Compress PDF. For trimming the visible edges without scaling the content, use Crop PDF. - Choose paper size, orientation, margins and Fit or Fill. Select pages if only part of the document needs resizing.
- Resize, inspect the preview and page-size summary, then download the new PDF. Keep the original.
Frequently asked questions
How do I change a PDF to A4 or Letter?
Choose the paper preset and its orientation, leave Fit selected to keep the whole visible page, then resize and download. When printing, choose the same paper size and check your printer’s scaling settings.
What is the difference between Fit and Fill?
Fit keeps the complete visible page and can leave blank space. Fill covers the chosen inner paper area but may hide content near the edges. Both preserve proportions; neither rewrites paragraphs to suit the new width.
Can I enter a custom size or add margins?
Yes. Enter width and height from 25 to 1,000 mm. Set an equal outer margin smaller than half the shortest side. The content fits or fills the space inside that margin.
Can I resize only some pages?
Enter page numbers such as 1, 3-5. The output includes all pages in their original order. Other pages keep their visible dimensions, though the output is a new document without bookmarks, attachments or original document properties.
Does resizing reduce a PDF to 200 KB or 1 MB?
No. This changes paper dimensions, not a byte target. The new file may be larger or smaller. Use Compress PDF for a file-size target and review the quality of its result.
Will text, images and forms stay the same?
Supported page text stays selectable and pictures scale with the page. Review small text, transparency and image quality, especially when enlarging. Forms, links, annotations, optional layers and signed files are rejected because this tool cannot safely relocate or preserve them.
Is cropped content permanently removed?
No. Fill and prior page cropping affect what is visible. Hidden content may remain recoverable inside the PDF. Use a dedicated permanent-redaction workflow for information that must be removed.
Are my files uploaded, and what are the limits?
No conversion upload is made. Processing runs in your browser without an account. Use PDFs up to 50 MB and 100 pages; split very large or complex documents into smaller parts.
