Number a report without changing the page order
Make a report, packet, or appendix easier to discuss by adding page numbers where readers expect them. Choose a header, footer, or middle position, set the style, and preview the result before you download.
Try the three-page sample: set From page to 2 and First number to 1 to leave the cover unnumbered. Compare the original with the numbered result so you can see exactly where every label lands.
Existing numbers stay in place, so choose a clear position to avoid overlap. Adding numbers changes the PDF copy and invalidates existing digital signatures; keep your original signed document.

Yes. Choose Page {n}, Page {n} of {p}, or Custom. Check the preview because {p} counts the pages you selected for numbering.
Will adding numbers remove existing page numbers?
No. New numbers are added over the existing page. This tool does not find or erase old numbering, so choose another position if labels would overlap.
Can I number scanned or landscape PDFs?
Yes. Choose the position after checking the page preview. Inspect mixed-size pages because a margin that looks good on one page can look different on another.
Why was my PDF rejected or its signature invalidated?
Use an unencrypted PDF with 1–100 pages and up to 50 MB. Adding content changes the file, so existing digital signatures will no longer be valid; keep the original signed copy.
