Remove marked text and images permanently. The whole document becomes an image-only PDF: searchable text, links, forms, attachments and signatures are removed. Keep your original. Mark every visible occurrence, including repeated information on other pages.
PDF up to 50 MB and 100 pages. Images use up to 150 DPI, limited to 4 million pixels per page. Small text may become less sharp.

Remove private information before sharing
Cover names, account numbers or other private details with black areas. Review every marked page before saving. The new file contains pictures of the visible pages with your marked areas removed; the original text, attachments, form fields and document history are not copied.
Every page becomes a picture, including pages with no marks. Search, selectable text, links, editable fields and digital signatures are lost, and small text may look less sharp. Keep your original and check the downloaded copy before sharing it. Mark every occurrence yourself, including information visible in pictures.
Best for: Sharing a readable copy when permanent removal matters more than retaining searchable text or editable fields.

- Draw a black area over each private detail, or add and adjust areas with the keyboard.
- Review every marked page, confirm the image-only result, then create and check your redacted copy.
Frequently asked questions
Can someone uncover text beneath the black areas?
This tool erases the marked picture areas before creating a fresh PDF. It does not place removable black boxes over the original text. Information outside your marked areas remains visible, so inspect every page carefully.
Are attachments, comments and hidden text retained?
No original document objects are copied. The result contains the visible page pictures only. Visible comment or form appearances outside your marks can still appear in those pictures.
Can I undo redaction after downloading?
The removed content cannot be recovered from the generated copy. Keep the original separately. Before generating, you can remove or adjust your marks and review again.
Does this upload my PDF?
No. Marking and page processing happen in this browser. Use a document of up to 50 MB and 100 pages; large pages are reduced to fit the processing limits.
